We came home from St. Louis to find at least 8" of snow on the ground. It was a beautiful sight to see. The weeks following Christmas continued to bring more snow. The temperatures here were way below freezing. Wind chills dropped to -25 degrees and highs were as low as -2. The low temps made it impossible for anything to melt. The white blanket of snow just kept getting higher and higher. With a snow depth of 16" in the backyard we decided to break out the sleds. Here's a few pics from our family fun in the snow.

Darren was a little confused as to where his hands went, and why he was forced to wear 3 layers of clothes under all this. However, he still seemed to enjoy the beautiful powder.
